Delete your account

Alivio is provided by Stonehill Labs Limited. You can delete your account and associated data at any time — directly in the app, or by asking us to do it for you.

Delete your account in the app

1. Open Alivio and go to the Yard tab.
2. Scroll to Danger Zone.
3. Tap Delete Account, then type DELETE to confirm.

What gets deleted depends on your role:

• Grooms: deletes your personal account and your membership of the yard. The yard’s horses, records, and other team members are not affected.
• Yard managers: deletes the entire yard and all associated data — horses, health and welfare records, documents, photos, and team memberships.

Deleting your account is not the same as cancelling your subscription. Cancelling stops future billing and leaves your data in place for 30 days before it is deleted; deleting removes it straight away and cannot be undone. Either way, take any copies you need first — exporting your records is a feature of the Plus plan, and it runs from the web app while your subscription is still active.

Email data@alivio.org.ukfrom your account email address and we’ll process the request. We respond within one calendar month.

What’s deleted and what’s kept

Deleted: your profile (name and email) and — for a yard-manager deletion — all yard horse records, welfare and health records, uploaded documents, and photos. This is removed from our active systems immediately and from encrypted backups within up to 30 days.

Kept: a limited set of records we are legally required to retain:

• Financial records (billing and transaction data) — retained for 7 years, as required by UK tax law.
• Legal-acceptance logs (evidence that you accepted our Terms, Privacy Policy, and — for managers — Data Processing Agreement, including the version accepted, a timestamp, and IP address) — retained for the duration of your account and up to 6 years afterwards, in line with the limitation period for contractual claims.

We hold these only for as long as the law requires, then delete them. For full detail on how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy. For anything else, get in touch.
